    1. Eating a healthy diet-- Some nutrients and foods that enhances the immune system are readily available in a variety of healthy foods. You can eat a healthy diet by adding these immune-boosting items to your daily meals.  (a) Vitamin E-rich foods, like nuts and  grains.      (b) Zinc-rich foods, like beans, turkey, crab, oysters, and beef.  (c) Carotenoid rich food like green peppers, tomatoes, corn, and carrots.  (d) Garlic.
    2. Don't smoke or quit smoking-- Tobacco products adds to a list of health problems, and this is one more you can add to your list for reasons to quit. It also harms almost every organ in the body, and increases the chance for stroke, heart diseases, and lung cancer.
    3. Be hygienic-- Hygiene goes beyond looking good or smelling your best. Taking the proper precautions can help prevent the onset and spread of infections/diseases and also other illnesses. 
    4. Exercise regularly-- Getting enough exercise improves your health, and greatly reduces the likelihood of certain chronic diseases.  
    5. Drink enough water-- Water helps to energize the muscles, improve bowel function, and balance your body's fluid levels.It is required to drink 8 glasses of water every day and also to avoid quenching thirst with soda, alcohol, tea, or coffee, as these drinks actually dehydrate you.

Getting adequate sleep does not only improves your mood and energy levels, it also prevents strokes and helps you manage your weight. The average adult should sleep for about 7 to 8 hours per night.
    7. Eat plenty of vegetables-- When you eat plenty vegetables like cabbage, broccoli, etc. they produce a chemical that can stop the growth of cancer cells and boost your immune system, according to research published online in the Journal of Nutritional Biochemistry from the University of California, Berkeley.
    8. Shed weight-- In the research performed by scientists at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine has shown that obesity prevents the immune system from functioning properly, by increasing its vulnerability to infection.
